Planned Preventative Maintenance with Trak

Any commercial catering establishment manager will know that choosing and purchasing the right equipment for their operation is only half of the job, the other half is ensuring that the equipment is serviced and maintained correctly. That’s where planned preventative maintenance comes in.

Like any expensive purchase we make in life, you want to make sure that you are getting the most out of it from both a functionality and longevity of life point of view. By taking the appropriate measures to have your catering equipment looked after and regularly serviced, not only will you get the best performance out of it, but it will also last longer. Would you buy a car and not have it serviced regularly? The same goes for your commercial kitchen equipment.

Having a planned preventative maintenance plan in place for your commercial equipment provides peace of mind. You can be safe in the knowledge that any underlying problems with your equipment will be caught and fixed before it is too late. It is essential to the smooth running of your operation that you have appropriate planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in place. A PPM can help prevent any breakdowns of your equipment, and avoid the operational and financial damage any unexpected downtime can cause.

Maintaining the performance of your equipment

Early detection of equipment function failure is key to the performance of any operation. Regular servicing will ensure these issues are picked up, and ultimately avoided, saving you both time and money.

Extending the life of your catering equipment with planned preventative maintenance

With regular planned preventative maintenance, the lifespan of your equipment can be maximised. Identifying problems before they become larger issues (or complete failures) will not only prevent the chances of equipment breakdown, but also save you the time, money, and stress of sourcing a new or replacement piece of kit. The longevity of your commercial equipment can have a positive (or negative!) effect on your bottom-line. Putting in place a planned preventative maintenance plan is the most cost-effective solution for your business.

Planned Preventative Maintenance with Trak

Our Planned Preventative Maintenance contracts include a full and concise examination of all equipment including mechanical and electrical components. Any faulty parts will be highlighted by the Engineer and a quotation submitted. Taking out a PPM contract certainly has its advantages. Early identification of potential issues will save on downtime which in turn will be cost effective. It also optimises performance of the equipment and can increase life expectancy which in turn will eliminate premature replacement of the Cleartrak and Roller Conveyors.

Your annual contract with Trak includes two service visits per year, guaranteeing your equipment is under the best possible care. Service visits under the agreement will only be carried out during the working hours Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm. Should you require work to be carried out outside of
these hours, additional charges will be made at an agreed rate. It is important to note that the charge for this contract does not include the cost and fitting of any spare parts which may be necessary to replace.

Spare parts will only befitted upon receipt of an official order and will be invoiced separately.

The cost of any breakdown or other call out service will also be additional to your annual charge. Such visits and any other additional visits to those agreed in the contract will be charged for at the applicable Engineers rates.
