James Paget Hospital – Case Study

Having worked with the Catering Facilities team at James Paget Hospital for many years, Paul Franks was asked for his industry knowledge and keen eye for attention to detail, to discuss a solution that worked with/alongside their current equipment used for patient meal service.

“It was an absolute pleasure to work with the team at James Paget University Hospital on this project to supply a much-improved system for their patient meal service”, said Paul.

After a conclusive trial, our heated power base system with outstanding heat retention was purchased. The system comprised of heated power base dispensers, wax-filled heated power bases, insulated cloches, and a protective base.

After heating the power bases in our power base dispenser, the system along with the use of the insulated cloche and protective base, can maintain food temperatures for up to two hours.

This system is not only ideal for heat retention for all meal services, but also particularly useful for assisted feeding – ensuring ‘the last mouthful is as hot as the first’.

After seeing the outstanding results in trials with the power base system, Nigel Whale, Catering Manager for JPUH was satisfied that we had achieved and exceeded expectation for what we were tasked to do.
