Fotnum & Mason – Heathrow Case Study
Trak was involved in a series of refurbishments for several Fortnum and Mason department stores and restaurants & bars. Situated at the Heathrow airport in London, the brief was to provide a stunning oval-shaped bar with a zinc bar top complete with stainless steel to the working area.
The counter consisted of a seafood cold section, a large drinks area and a tea and coffee section all of which was enclosed with bespoke curved glass display areas. The counter design had to incorporate the air conditioning system for the whole area within the plinth/base of the counter. Bespoke tiles were also imported from Italy and the servery consisted of a bespoke metal canopy with lighting.
Due to the restraints set in an airport and the fact companies must adhere to certain working practises, logistically the project was very challenging, but a rewarding one at that.
